State LicenseThe State license is usually done for medium sized businesses having sales of more than 12 lakhs but less than 20 crores. However in some cases the criteria is different. The government fees for State License can vary from 2000 to Rs. 5000.
Central LicenseThe Central license is usually required for large businesses with annual sales of more than Rs. 20 crores. It is also mandatory for some businesses like import export to get a central license. The government fees for Central License is Rs. 7500.

Food License can be applied for 1 to 5 years. After Expiry the license needs to be renewed.
