How many days it takes to register a company in India

Generally, it takes around 8-10 business days to register a company in India. Provided that all your documents are correct and you have a unique business name. However, in case, an objection is issued, it may take up-to 12 working days.

 

Day 1: Make a booking and Understand the Documents Required.

Day 2-3: Document Preparation and Finalising. 

Day 3: Application of Company Registration.

Day 4-8: Await for Approval of Application.

Day 8-10: Registration Approval or Objection Raised.

 

Furthermore, If you need GST registration for your company, it may take additional 5-7 working days.

 

Here is the day-by-day process detail to register a company in India:

Day 1: Make a booking and Understand the Documents Required

 

For this purpose, fill in your contact details along with a small brief about your business on the right.

 

Next, start the process of company registration online.

 

You will receive a call from one of our experts. 

 

They will give you the right advice and clear all your doubts.

 

Then, you will have to fill out a form of Important Details.

 

For example, the director's name, number, email ID, address, company's name, purpose, address, capital investment etc. 

 

After that, share the following documents:- 

 

1. Passport Size Photograph of all Directors (Scan Copy)
2. PAN Card Copy
3. Proof of Identity of all Directors
4. Proof of Residence of all Directors (NOT OLDER THAN 2 MONTHS)
5. Aadhar card of all Directors
6. Address Proof of Company (NOT OLDER THAN 2 MONTHS)
7. Electricity bill 
8. Telephone/Mobile bill
9. Internet / Broadband/ Wi-fi/ Fiber bill ~Any Other Government Utility Bill

Day 2: Document Preparation and Finalising

 

• Name Approval

 

It is not compulsory. 

 

However, applying for name approval will increase the chances of getting your chosen business name. 

 

So, share at least 4 unique business names. 

 

Our team will file the RUN (Reserve Unique Name) Application.

 

Generally, it takes 48 - 72 hours to receive a response or approval from the MCA.

 

• Preparing and Verifying DSC

 

Your consultant will prepare the Digital Signature Certificate of the Directors.

 

After that, each director will have to do the KYC for DSC.

 

For this purpose, they will receive a link on the given mail id. 

 

On that link, record a 30 seconds video. Say the full name, a 3 digit code and show the front and back of your Aadhar card.

 

After successful verification, the DSC will be ready to use.

 

• Preparing NOC and Authorization Letter

Day 4 - 8: Await for Approval of Application

• Directors Details
• Premises Details

• MoA and AoA 
• Documents

Common Objections

 

Similar Name - If you did not got your name approval before, there are chances the government may raise an objection.

 

Multiple Objectives in MoA - There may be an objection if you have multiple purposes in MoA from entirely different industries. For example, you are planning to start a business where you will sell clothes as well as stationary. In this case, the government will not accept it and will ask you to remove either of one.

 

Day 10 - 11: Consultation   

 

So, if there is any objection, we will arrange a consultation call.

In case of objection related to name, we will ask you for a few more options.

You get 2 chances to resubmit the application for a new name.

Day 13 - 15: Approved or Objected Again
